When I look at old family photographs, I’m not searching for technical excellence or picture-perfect poses. What I’m looking for – what truly matters – is the feeling captured within each frame. These images, imperfect as they may be, are treasures because they hold stories, emotions, and connections.
Take this photo of me and my grandpa (I called him Pop Pop), for instance. He embodied kindness and gentleness in ways I’ve rarely encountered. He passed away unexpectedly when I was 10, and that made these photographs even more precious.
